1. Road to Hana

Traveled by thousands of visitors each day, the road to Hana, Maui is truly a once in a lifetime experience. The drive along Hana highway winds northeast through miles of lush tropical rainforest accompanied by breathtaking sea cliff and ocean views. 3. Haleakalā National Park

Haleakala is a dormant volcano that makes up Maui’s eastern peak and millions of people drive to the top each year to watch the sunrise. A popular activity is to take a guided bike tour, which couples biking down the mountain with watching the sunrise at the crater. Haleakala is an incredible part of the island, and at an altitude of 10,023 feet the views are hard to beat. The crater itself also has hiking trails and a visitor center with interesting facts about the surrounding vegetation and wildlife. “Haleakala” actually means “house of the rising sun,” and upon visiting you’ll see that it more than lives up to the name.

4. Snorkel Tour to Molokini

Molokini is a small crater island that lies off the south coast of Maui and is a hot-spot for snorkelers and scuba divers alike. There is much to see there such as beautiful corals, sea urchins, and thousands of colorful Hawaiian fish and other sea animals. The boat ride allows for spectacular views of Maui and neighboring islands, and also gives the opportunity for dolphin sightings and whale watching (if you’re visiting during whale season!).
